Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns is set to launch this September, introducing fans to an entirely new story campaign alongside a selection of DLC fighters, available for purchase. However, players can also anticipate some exciting new complimentary content.
During San Diego Comic-Con, the developers at NetherRealm Studios revealed this new paid content while showcasing an innovative gameplay feature, Animality. This fresh concept, a twist on the traditional Fatalities, allows characters to transform into various animals to unleash devastating attacks on their opponents.
The reveal trailer hinted at the thrilling spectacle players can expect, featuring transformations into creatures such as hippos, colossal praying mantises, and gorillas, who will engage in fierce battles.
Animalities will be introduced to the gameplay as a free update coinciding with the launch of Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns, scheduled for September 24 on platforms including PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
